Back to School, The Bakery, and Babies!

Where do I start? Well, Sud 1 went back to school last week. 1st grade, it’s just crazy that I have a 1st grader. Soccer started, she got her green belt in Tae Kwon Do, and she will be starting swim class soon. Sud 2 started walking. She had started taking tiny tiny steps about a month ago, but the last 2 weeks she insists on walking everywhere. Husband has been busy doing Husband stuff, and since he lives “off the grid”, I won’t go into detail.

We finished a 100 piece order (which turned into 103, waste not want not) for a local political group, we will possibly be working with a non-profit (details coming soon, maybe?), and we have been working on our fall/winter soaps. We have some upcoming shows, and when they are confirmed we will add them to our calendar. If you are able to come see us in person, you’ll find soaps that we don’t carry on our site. Sometimes we are experimenting and only make a handful, or we are so low in stock and won’t be carrying them anymore, or they are just soaps that are exclusive to in person purchase.

The Bakery section of our site will have 3 new cupcakes available Saturday evening! We want to expand our Bakery over the winter. Now that it is starting to cool off, making cupcakes will be much easier. Why? Well, outside temperatures do effect soaping. The “batter” works best for piping when it’s cool and not humid. This is why our cupcakes have been few and far between. We are also looking into making slices of cake!

Our bath line will be launching in November. We are still playing around with and tweaking our recipe. While they are working perfectly now, I want to have options. Sud 1 has been a more than willing tester. However, orders from now until we launch may contain a sample of our Bath Bubblers or Bath Fizzles. You can also find them in person at shows or fairs we attend. We don’t just want to put out a good product, we want to put out the BEST!

Baby soap will also be coming this winter. This is taking a bit longer, because I want to make sure it is something I would use on my own baby!

Husband is excited, because our Manly Man bar (which smells like pure man aka mahogany) is finally ready, and our Tea Tree soap is almost ready after being sold out for over a month. He’s nursing his last bar right now. More “man friendly” soaps will be coming over the summer. Husband has to approve of the fragrances. If it was up to me I’d make soap out of every masculine oil I come across, but he knows what men actually would like to smell like. This is why we made him quality control.

That is all for this week. Check back Sunday morning for new soaps, we are adding the pictures today, but the descriptions will be updated and posted over the weekend.

Love and Suds,

Lo
