Good Morning! The first installment of our weekly blog is here! This week I’ll go over how to navigate our site, how to order, how to reserve, and special orders.

The homepage. Here is were you are one click away from everything! “Our Soaps” brings you to all of our soaps. This includes sale, Men’s Collection, Limited Edition, Coming soon, and our Bakery. All listed together. From the home page you can also select each category. Up top you will see quick links to the events we will be attending where you can purchase soap in person, About Us, our blog, how to contact us, and your shopping cart!
SALE,BAKERY,MEN’S COLLECTION
These are links to specific soaps that fall in those categories. Some soaps are cross posted as they fit into more than 1. Side note: our men’s soaps can be used for anyone, the fragrances were just mixed and selected to be man friendly. Husband approves each scent, as his nose is a snob and isn’t easily satisfied.
The Bakery is probably my favorite place on our site. Here you’ll find soap cupcakes and other soaps I’ve imagined and made based on food you may find in a bakery/cafe. (Please DO NOT EAT THEM!) When I was making the Chocolate Cream Cheese cupcakes, Sud 2 INSISTED I was fibbing when I said I was making soap and not baking. At first she was disappointed there there was no bowl to lick, but quickly forgave me when I showed her the soap I made just for her to keep.
New soaps will be added to sale once or twice a month. On top of sale, we will be giving out coupon codes, and sending along surprises with your order. While every order comes with 2 samples, when we make test batches of new products we will want to share it with you! COMING SOON
I’ll start with a definition: Cold Process soap needs to age or “cure” before it is finally ready to use. Like firewood, as the soap cures, most of the water used in the recipe evaporates out of it. Cured soap is harder, milder, and more “finished.”
The soaps in the Coming Soon section still have some curing to do, but are firm enough for me to handle and photograph. You will notice if you try to add it to your basket it will be “Out of Stock”. So how do you get your hands on one of these? Send us a quick message through our “Contact” button and let us know which soap you are interested in and how many. Once it is ready we will send you an email letting you know its ready, and if you decide to pass we will go down the line of people interested. If you still want to purchase, go right ahead and add it to your basket and check out as usual.
LIMITED EDITION
These are soaps that are just around for the holidays, I used an oil that I only had a limited supply of, they were made for a specific event, or I just might not make it again. However, if you find you just have to have it, keep reading and we will tell you all about Special Orders.
SPECIAL ORDERS
There is no section for this. We have done Special Orders for a few months now. If you have a soap in mind for an event, or even just for you we will gladly work with you in creating it. For example: myself and my friend (who makes all sorts of personalized goodies) wanted to join forces and make an end of the year teachers gift. She created an adorable pencil keychain with the teachers name on it and I came up with an apple soap.
Here is what we require when you start the custom order process.
If you would like a glycerine based novelty soap (we will be posting pictures of these shortly), we ask 3-4 weeks notice. This will give us accurate time to order a mold and fragrance if needed. If you are interested in our cold process soaps, we need 8-9 weeks notice. Again, so we can order the supplies and it needs time to cure for 5-6 weeks.
What type of event it is and what is the theme. We could possibly give you ideas based on other soaps we have made. How many do you need? Knowing this we will know our turn around time.

Well, I feel I was all over the board with this post, but I had so much I wanted to get out. Hopefully it made sense, but if it didn’t shoot us a message and we can clarify anything we were fuzzy on.
Now to start my day. Sud 2 and I need to go get more label paper, I have soaps to wrap and label, and I need to get started on some glycerine soaps.
